Shared History
There was a religious figure, who was born in December, had a virgin birth, was seen as savior to those who followed him, died, was resurrected and is coming back to save the world. Does this sound familiar? Who is this person? For most people, the answer would be Jesus. The real answer, Yes Jesus, Spot On, but well not only him. Horus, the Sun(Not son) God of ancient Egypt, was also born of a virgin birth in December, his birth was marked by a star, was baptized at the age of 30, was crucified on a cross, died, was resurrected and is believed to also be coming back to save the world. Other ancient Gods who enjoy the some of the characteristics set out above include, the eastern savior God, Virishna, the Hindu God Krishna (If one anglicises Krishna word you end up with Christo-is this another Christ?) and the Greek God Adonis.
