Over the past 15 days, I have visited 15 Mosques in Johannesburg. This was an extremely humbling experience to see that no matter where you went, everyone at the same time stopped what they were doing during the day to practice Salaah. I have learnt several things.
The first that I learned, was that , no matter where you were and what you were doing, one can easily stop and read Salaah. We have so much to be thankful for and a few minutes of your day to pray is a very small sacrifice, in fact its a duty. Secondly, I highly recommend everyone to frequent other Mosques in the city and will surely broaden your horizons. Lastly, no matter what you call yourself, Salafi, Tableeq, Sunni, Sufi, Deobandi, we are all united behind one Kalima - Lailaha.... This is the common ground that we as a community need to appreciate and build on. Love For All Hatred For None, United We Stand Divided We Fall, All Rivers Lead To One Ocean. Once we understand this, and build on our strenghts, we can cut the KuK and strenghten our community.
